EXTRA: Bossier DA says he's investigating City Council members who refused to put term limits on the ballot
Five members of the Bossier City Council are being investigated on possible charges of malfeasance.
When asked at a public event Tuesday, Bossier District Attorney Schuyler Marvin said he is investigating five members of the Bossier City Council on possible charges of malfeasance.
The issue stems from five council members who repeatedly rejected a citizens' petition to put term limits on the ballot. Those council members are Jeff Darby, Jeff Free, Vince Maggio, David Montgomery, and Don Williams.

At a North Shreveport Business Association meeting Tuesday, Erin McCarty of KEEL radio asked Marvin if he was investigating the five council members.
"Already have, already have," Marvin replied.
"Are you going to prosecute them?" McCarty pressed.
"I haven't made a conclusion yet," he responded.
Following the meeting, McCarty asked Marvin about claims that he did not want to "go after" public officials "and he rattled off several public officials he has prosecuted," McCarty said.
The DA did not reveal a timetable for when the results of his investigation might be released.
Most definitely need to be investigated.
Why would anyone object to Term Limits.
This is a “no brainer”.
