Who’s behind BossierNow?

BossierNow is owned and published by Hal Bundrick, a 25-plus-year resident of Bossier City — a seasoned journalist whose work has been featured by the Associated Press, USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, U.S. News and World Report, and dozens of others.

Our mission is to provide conflict-of-interest-free, independent news coverage of Bossier City and Bossier Parish.

All subscribers get full access to BossierNow email updates and the website — whether they pay for a subscription or not.

Sign up with your email to receive our reports straight to your inbox. However, if you can afford it, we’re asking for your support with a $5 monthly subscription.

We get it. Some people just don’t want another $5-a-month subscription. With Netflix, Amazon Prime, Paramount+ — and the price of groceries — who has an extra five bucks every month?

We’re asking some of you to pay for a monthly subscription just because you can. For everybody else, it’s free. Subscribe. Pay if want. Don’t pay if you don’t want to. All paywalls have been removed from our content.

If we already have your email address, BossierNow will continue to be delivered to your inbox every weekday morning, and you’ll have full access. If you haven’t subscribed before, hit the link below and sign up. We will never sell your email address to anybody.

Thanks for reading. Please spread the word. Forward this to all your friends, and let’s get thousands of people to sign up for free.

Maybe even a few of them will pay the five bucks a month. And we thank you for that.

Objective news. Reader supported.

BossierNow not only reports on politics and government but also on topics that impact our local quality of life, including special events, restaurant and point-of-interest reviews and more. We report on crime but with a longer-term viewpoint rather than the chasing sirens news of mainstream media. We feel crime trends, awareness and prevention are more important than "if it bleeds, it leads" news coverage.

We are funded strictly by our readers — not by out-of-town billionaires, deep-pocketed foundations, or dark money groups with a political agenda.

Why don’t you see this kind of news coverage from other local sources?

We’re not sure. Maybe they’re not from around here, or they’re owned by out-of-town conglomerates, or their staff is young and inexperienced.

We removed our Bossier City news coverage from the internet and now send it straight to your email inbox — minus all that junk you see on other websites.

BossierNow does not endorse candidates or issues. Our mission is to remain independent, objective and politically neutral so that you can reach your own well-considered conclusions.

Your financial support — as a monthly, annual or Premier paid subscriber — helps BossierNow continue, deepen and expand its coverage. Your support also helps keep all of our independent reporting free for everyone.
